The Marco Island Shell Club is a friendly and dedicated 501(c)(3) non-profit organization for shell enthusiasts at all levels of interest and expertise. The Club season, which begins in November and continues through March of the next year, includes weekly Tuesday morning shell art workshops, which culminate in the annual Shell Show in March. Evening seminars, varied excursions, a shell hunt and picnic, and the annual Thank You Dinner round out the season.
Our mission is to promote the study, conservation, history, and science of seashells and mollusks, and to encourage shell-related interests, such as shell collecting, crafting and shell art.
Thank you for visiting our site. Please take note that all activities and events have concluded for this season. Tuesday morning shell art workshops, seminars, and excursions will resume in November, opening the 2015-2016 season. Our 36th annual Shell Show will be held March 10th through 12th, 2016at Disseler Hall at the United Church of Marco Island. We hope to see you there!!
